My Bridge Over Troubled Water record bowl.
This wonderful lunatic I know named Colleen Rodgers, aka joanofvodka, started recycling old vinyl records a while back. She makes bowls out of them and shapes them into whatever the booze tells her to. They are a great addition to any hipster household and are considered retro by anyone that watched Martha Stewart in the early ‘90s.
What’s great about them is that you can define yourself and what others think about you by choosing a favorite album or song. Then display it proudly on your cubicle desk or stainless steel and glass coffee table for the world to see. It’s kind of like MySpace without the blaring music. Your friends will think you are super cool when they wake up on your couch and notice that you have a Neil Diamond record bowl to house your iPhone after a long night at MJQ.
I highly recommend you check out Colleen’s Etsy site and for a measly ten bucks get your own record bowl so that you too can set yourself apart from everyone that doesn’t live in Decatur.
No, really – all jokes aside, these things are pretty cool.
